George Kovacs was a pioneer in contemporary lighting, known for creating upscale yet approachable fixtures with clean lines and a healthy dose of humor. The Pontil collection is a perfect example of Kovacs’ style, offering lights that look sleek yet soft, cool but comfortable. Named after the glassmaking tool, this Pontil island pendant features eight rods tipped with curved shades that look like molten glass being blown. The arrangement of the rods and the central orb give the fixture Sputnik appeal and a fun, funky look that complements a variety of decors. Hang it from flat or sloped ceilings over a kitchen island, dining table, pool table or bar.
